Team Clash 2021: And the Winner Is…

CanoTheViper, on 08 February 2021 - 12:54 PM, said: It was a disaster experience for me as I was in Orzanel'e team. 2
out of 10 battles were lost and even Orzanel did not pay enough
attention for his own team. For instance, he was not online
yesterday night for activating perk.I really regret to choose Orzanel, he is not even give a ... for his team. Please be advised to select more responsible and proper contributers next year.
As for the event in general, what we need is to find a balance to make battles more balanced in terms of player abilities. Otherwise, I will wait next year to join a team 4 days after seeing who is leading. Please do not provide nonsense advices the commander you wish to for bla bla bla.
Any news for frontline yet? And ranked battles as well. Thanks!
eekeeboo: The main goal is to play for the commander you want in your tank,
which we ensured happened. Though Team orzanel had some harder
times, they had it easier in other ways with shorter queue times
and with good team coordination i finished team orzanel grind 2.5
hours faster than the daki one. Please realise that the
CCs are human beings too and put in amazing work and energy into
this. They cannot all be a lean mean streaming machine to activate
boosters at every second for people. I'm sure Orzanel and those who
played for him, did their very best.

fair next time add a system that add +1 player to other teams
Lets say if somebody pick Dakillzor then the system need to
auto add +1 player to other teams with that you will have
equal player pool for each team. If you see the number of players
in every team now you will see that 50% was in Dakillzor team ,
20 in Circon and the rest two get 15% of player base each. So
how you can win if other teams have double or triple amount of
battles ?eekeeboo: That would take away from people choosing to fight for their team
and get the commander they would want (support their favourite
streamer). The event is meant to be competitive in that it adds
something more than a vehicle for people to get freebies. There
will always be a losing team, but there was no one who lost out
with everyone getting a commander and other elements if you got to
personal progress level 10.
7thNighthawk, on 08 February 2021 - 01:21 PM, said: I really really like the 7v7 format as maps lose a bit of the
corridor feeling and your contributions have an impact way more
regularly than in 15v15; the games feel way more dynamic with more
tactics being able to pay off. I was Team Daki and I'll
fully admit that, unlike last year where I chose Skill because it
was the only guy I knew, I only selected it because I did not feel
like getting stomped by clan wars participants that are often
specialised on focus fire, dynamic deployment and often times spam
gold left and right. The system is indeed bad, as
Morgan_the_Reaper stated. Since Daki teams were almost always the
opponent of the other teams, they had way more possibilities to win
points for the team, even if they had lost a lot - which they did
not until the end of the event where only the slowpokes had to
finish farming. Add to that the demoralisation when you not only
constantly lose but see your team fall further and further behind
and I can see that it was a highly frustrating experience for the
last teams. I don't know how to fix all of this but there is
no mechanic that deals with highly stacked teams in this mode.
There will always be one contributor who will be backed by the
majority even before the event starts and you can be 100% sure that
they will win - especially since once they start winning, late
joiners will always select them too and add to the snowball effect.
This also leads to Daki platoons having to wait ages to get into a
game unless the played arty, ironically but that's really a first
world problem in that scenario. I just hope that 7v7 for
lesser rewards will see a return without fixed teams so that I can
enjoy a more balanced version of this refreshing mode that is the
only way I enjoy playing Tier 10 - even despite the EBR cancer.eekeeboo: That's why random battle missions with points were added to help
people who struggle to win as well as catch up multiplier battles
for team Orzanel. There are ways to look at doing it, but it has to
be tried carefully to not make the competitive element
pointless. I'm not sure if you saw the suggestion i gave
for long queue times at the beginning of the event, if in a
platoon, someone plays a light or arty and your queue time is
almost instant. Fill the mm gaps and it will love you
more. But I too love the 7v7 mode and how it allowed for
hyper aggression to reward very nicely
Dru_UK, on 08 February 2021 - 01:26 PM, said: A better way to score would to keep people personal mission levels
and points the same as this system, but change the 'team poimts'
the reflect the percentages of the players playing, therefore the
team with the most players have a reduced team income, whilst those
people on the lower number teams can get a modifier - or a bigger
reward pot of credits and days premiums etc... (or that everyone
gets the 1 skill commander and that the prixe in that respect is
equal) Anyhow - first year i did it - allowed me to play a
few different T10's (as I only own one) and really enjoyed
it. thankseekeeboo: The issue with that is that you can then no longer have a
comparison to the teams and thus negate the positioning of them
We already have some things to try
for next time but needs to be done to not eradicate and make
pointless the competitive element.
leamael, on 08 February 2021 - 01:44 PM, said: It's kind of sarcastic to congratulate the first team for
their "great result" when this was purely based on a design flaw of
the whole event... Let me explain: for the first 5 days of
the event the teams 2, 3 and 4 would exclusively play against team
1. This means that team 1 would have 3 times more games than team
2, 3 and 4. The result of this flaw was that team 1 would get 3
times more points than the other teams per evening. So it's no
wonder that team 1 had the same amount of points than team 2, 3 and
4 combined.... In mathematical terms: WG forgot to
normalize the results of each team by the amount of games the team
played. So it's no wonder that the team with the most games won the
event... eekeeboo: I'm sorry to say your math is a little off, that it is a numbers
game, but your hypothesis is a little off. The way to combat the
issue you state is to have the queue time be gigantic for team one.
In reality it doesn't matter who you play, you win, you get the
points, boosters matter. The more people on a team, the more wins
you get. Daki is known by many and did a fantastic job of
recruitment, even spamming and engaging with the EN discord channel
just before signups to ensure he got as many people on his team as
early as possibe. Normalisation wasn't the issue, it would try to
remedy the wrong factor.
kaneloon, on 08 February 2021 - 01:56 PM, said: Or just block the possibility to join the #1 team once the event
starts.eekeeboo: That's not very fair for people who like Daki and want him in their
tank and want to play and get all things Dakillzor.
_Saqis64_GR_, on 08 February 2021 - 01:59 PM, said: 1. Ι would like to have the opprotunity to get all commanders
somehow. 2. The team/point system is wrong. You hyped about Daki so
most of players pic his team.eekeeboo: A lot of people picked his team for more than "hyping him up" -
Which is a false statement. Like Mailand last year, Daki has a lot
of positive sentiment in the competitive community.
Zamieszki, on 08 February 2021 - 02:10 PM, said: You can pick whatever team you want before the event starts.
After it starts nobody can join any team for ~2h. After these ~2h
teamless players can only join the team which is last. That
would make things more interesting. You can pick whatever
team you want before the event starts. After it starts nobody can
join any team for ~2h. After these ~2h teamless players can only
join the team which is last. That would make things more
interesting.eekeeboo: Please read above about how this can be unfair to the people who
want to support their favourite content creator.
Zamieszki, on 08 February 2021 - 02:10 PM, said: I was in Circon team and he also did not care about Team
Clash . In general Team Clash was complete disaster . Who
ever came with idea giving rental tanks for players who don't have
tier 10 should be fired by WG . If u see in your team 2+
rental tanks u know u lost already . Also tanks like B-chat
25t ,Strv 103B , FV4005 , TVP 50/51 , T62A , Progetto 65 ,
Jagdpanzer E 100 , Leopard 1 , Grille 15 should be banned in next
Team Clash . Have many times my team lost because some 45%
tomato did take something like Leopard 1 or Grille 15
eekeeboo: How would you then have people without tier 10's taking part in
team clash? You're essentially asking to ban any tank you don't
like and only allow the ones you personally like and can
shoot? Difference with EU vs RU is that RU has many more and
much bigger content creators and have already well established with
this. We've seen how players vote on EU and it is not in the best
interest of the event or the player base as a whole. Note the top
of the tree, where it was always the same tanks. People would vote
for people who are not big enough for it to work effectively or
vote for people who choose not to take part. Team Clash is meant to
not only just focus the big guys but also promote smaller
streamers. I suggest looking at the social media data of the
streamers and you may be surprised at a need to correct your
presumption
