Equipment 2.0 Is Here!

cashgrab, nothing moreeekeeboo: The do not work as effectively as other things and there are far
better options. A toolkit worked effectively on 3-5 tanks from the
whole game previously, now it has more uses.
wolfman292, on 08 August 2020 - 01:41 PM, said: Think back to the update that allowed GOLD ammo to be bought for
credits as it had been and from that moment on loads of players
left. Since that time all updates have been a nail in the WOT
coffin. They are not updates more like down grades. Don't know who
has been doing your testing but it sure wasn't ordinary
players. Being an ex real life tanker the way you have
treated your customers is almost criminal maybe your trying
to get into EA's bed don't know but this latest so called update is
really bad.eekeeboo: I'm not sure how your last statement relates to any other part of
you statement, but I appreciate the addition. Gold ammo change to
credits prevented any and all argument of "Pay to Win" involving
ammunition, even now with just credits, people still say it because
of old legacy reason.
ErCarogna, on 08 August 2020 - 06:04 PM, said: I am a 49 year old boy, I have been playing WOT since 2013 and I am
an average/tomato player, I really enjoyed playing wot, but not
anymore because of you, WG, every time you dont respect the number
1 rule for game developers.Rule number 1: Never destroy your players' progress.
It is not a money problem. I have several premium tanks and when I can it's not a problem to spend some money on premium accounts etc etc.
The problem is your business model.
You really think that this aggressive system will bring positive results.
In all these years you have constantly changed the "rules of the game" to chase profits in the wrong way.
Constantly push people to grind a line and then nerf, buy premium tank and then nerf or change its features, continuously change the mechanics of the game (but never the MM) making WOT become similar to PAC-MAN..etc etc.
I want to say it again, the problem is not the money.
But I think, if you need to take away the possibility of demounting some stupid equipment for free,...WG,....your business system is broken !!
REALLY WG !! do you need to do this to respect your business model?
I would feel really stupid if I still play WOT.
I can live without WOT ... you cannot live without your players WG.
UNINSTALL, ... Click ... good bye WOT.
eekeeboo: And the crux of this statement is the removal of things for free,
which is still there, actually more of it with demount kits.
Actually improvement, but the removal of a spoonful for a plateful
of new food, and some concentrate on only the spoon. There are many
players who like the new system, and many who do not. While some
will leave, there is at least a chance some new will come and not
rely on having the same people who rely purely on spoons and
instead look for the whole plate.

out again and i have not (will not) be going back again . 190+
tanks and 7 years playing ( and it has been fun) has come to
an end. The one thing that strikes me is the screaming
silence coming from the games you tube streamers . you
know quickybabe/skill/jingles/claus/circumflex. all very
quiet and meek, when normaly they would have posted an update video
on the same day as the update, thats just on a normal update but as
much as i have looked i can not see any reviews of this massive
update. maybe i have missed them and someone will point me in
the right direction. ( i will not play the game unless this update
is reversed ) as i like watching thier channels . eekeeboo: It takes time for people to cover content so extensively and many
are still playing and getting information to be fully informed on
the matter. I can tell you from the streams and videos I have seen
there is a mixed message but for the most part things have not
changed for them and they keep playing and adapting, with liking
most of the stuff in the patch and not liking small parts. But do
not just take my word for it, watch them and see for yourself
gunslingerXXX, on 08 August 2020 - 08:25 PM, said: Must be directed that none commented on the negative parts of the

misinformation, thank you. Content creators can give what feedback
they like, it is their content and their channels.

eekeeboo: There is no silence, go watch their content actively and you can
readily see, hear and read their opinions on the update
It simply takes time to make an informed piece of
feedback, not just knee jerk one to appease the masses of initial
negativity on change and paranoid consipiracy theories.
Kauvana, on 09 August 2020 - 07:02 AM, said: Please, please reinstate the free moving around of camouflage nets
and binoculars. I don't have a massive garage (80 odd vehicles), so
I can only imagine what size of issues this causes for those with
literal hundreds of tanks. That being said, I used at least one of
the two on perhaps 35% of my tanks and now my hand has been forced
into buying 600k credit replacements for my high tier tanks, of
which there are several. Even with a few tier VIII premiums, this
will take hundreds of battles to earn back.eekeeboo: Feel free to frind and use demount kits that you can get for free
SirCipilica, on 09 August 2020 - 10:10 AM, said: Is there any post with simpler explanation for all these
changes? I returned to play some games, and new equipment system
seems so confused!?!? WTF! What we need to equip on
the slots? Cause if I hover the mouse on most of already equipment
slots pieces, it says "Equipment and slot categories do not match".
Do I need to demount all the slots? Who asked for these
changes?eekeeboo: Use the alt key in game and keep reading, it will be a while before
contributors can make a well informed instructional piece of
content on such big changes, for the most part though, for myself,
not much changed with the equipment, only the order I use them
in.
Sanada_Nobushige, on 09 August 2020 - 10:11 AM, said: Let me reply to my own rhetorical question. The major insulting
remark is telling the painful truth. The truth is that a grocer
shopkeeper has a deeper understanding of basic economics than the
WG (including the sales management). There are rules of demand,
supply, price and competitive markets. All of them are disregard by
the WG, hopefully not because of ignorance but only due to lack of
understanding. (Or alternatively, they might heard about the famous
economist, Keynes, who said that in the long run we are all dead….)
Demand. The introduction of more dynamic tanks has been ruined the
game for static or slow vehicles. It was consistent with the demand
of some players, but it was against of the others. In general, a
broader range of players should have fun in the game. Supply. The
overall quality of the tanks is very uneven and unstable (nerfed or
buffed). Even the rules of the game are biased and they are changed
frequently. Still, rotten tomatoes are not replaced by fresh one.
Instead, the fresh one is planned to be screwed up (screw2.0)
Demand of the consumers should not be ignored. Prices. Profit
maximization requires an optimum level of prices, which could be
relatively low. Discounts and the currently announced 10% price cut
for premium tanks are steps in this direction. But the “no pay”
movement as a reaction to the latest update (supply and demand
mismatch) may be not sporadic, even more organized forms can emerge
in Community platforms. Competitive markets. The competitors’
supply can satisfy the demand of consumers better or their prices
can be more reasonable. Market situation can change rapidly and
consumers apparently follow this more closely than the WG. Many of
us are active in other games and we share
information. WG, please note that the basic
economics rules can be disregarded, but their consequences cannot
be avoided. For risks and side effects ask your grocer shopkeeper.eekeeboo: As a person in such knowledge of advanced economics and business
models, I'm sure you actually know you're made some false
statements there, and a vastly false summary and comparison.
ibrox3, on 09 August 2020 - 10:12 AM, said: Ok, so I think maybe we should explore a little more the details of
how WG tells us we have been playing the tanks all wrong for years.
This update has finally shown me that I have had TD's
completely wrong - essentially I am a muppet as per Eeekaboos
comment about Binos on a Maus... I have been playing my TD's
- you know glass cannons , no armour , no turret (so the tank has
to move to track a moving target and lose its camo bonus)
no manoeuvrability but a good gun ALL WRONG.
Apparently sitting in a bush shooting the enemy for far away , just
hoping that they do not see me is Wrong ! This becomes apparent
when I follow the clear instruction that the equipment I should use
on a TD (I just checked my UDES 03) is FIREPOWER. So I
should be using my TD focusing on firing faster.. perhaps they
should have fitted TD's with machine guns. You see I have
been playing TD's with a Camo Net and Bino's , trying to stay
hidden , knowing that the moment I am spotted fire will rain down
on me and without armour and manoeuvrability I will soon be wrecked
and heading to the garage. Since I already have 7 TD's with
win rates 60% + and most of the rest 55% + just think how much
better my win rate could have been if I had learned how to play
them properly from the start ! Clearly WG is sure that even
with the new spotting meta - from this patch they can spot you
through a forest - my glass cannons still would be wrong to
primarily hide as far away as they can..... So its RAMMERS
all round for my TD's then WG , thank you for showing me....
EXCEPT : I went to my Tier IV TD's to mount those "Firepower"
rammers...remember they cannot use vents... and NOT allowed.
Banned Nada. What? But I just learned that I have been
playing them all wrong? I should be using a rammer on a TD , its
written there. I am a numptie if I don't use Firepower.....
Or maybe I should just add a gun laying drive so I can aim 0.1
seconds quicker....even though it already takes me longer to reload
than it does to aim..... I am sure there are many other
inconsistent details in this update that the rest of the players
will find. Its ridiculous that WG "Imposes" on us which equipment
we should use, in the "name" of more choice. Essentially I
see it as another in a long line of Nerfs to TD's - remember WG
when I was playing TD's all the time you had - more players - more
premium accounts - more fun - a growing and successful business.
Since you nerfed everything else I wanted to play - you
drove me to play arty - I never considered it until a couple of
years ago. No doubt that will be nerfed again soon and I will just
give up altogether, crew2 ? Some other nerf? Stopped buying
premium account years ago - so I guess my opinion goes straight in
the bin anyway. #walletclosed eekeeboo: That's why you're encouraged to learn to adapt and not just use 1
thing across the whole board and expect it to work for everything,
this was the point of the changes to increase the adaptability and
customisability and choices for equipment. And at lower tiers, you
know they were changed to be simple also. I wish you luck on one
day finding a way to open your wallet on something you like, until
then feel free to keep spamming it, it won't change the sentiment
of change for the many, not the loud minority
One of the changes you ask for on trying out
the equipment combinations, you can get an idea of, with a system
that highlights the changeso on the right hand side of you screen,
showing you the exact changes, something that you didn't have
before, so you have it there. While you are welcome to keep
contributing to the discussion, I suggest a tone change if you want
to be taken more seriously, like the number of contributors, I've
seen, and they do not come close to other platforms
currently. 09:08 Added after 6 minute

over 100k people, sometimes even around 150k. This week-end:
roughly 70k. During the week, right after the patch, it was a
slight increase, as people were curious, but then the EU servers
populations dropped. The week-end is a good indicator of what it
will happen further: the server population will go down, just like
the time when the Rubicon happened. Congrats, WG. You've attained
your objectives: less EU players. Soon, you will reach NA numbers
on the EU servers.eekeeboo: Welcome to A) summer holidays and B) easing of lockdown and C) The
numbers that I have show they're above average by a large way for
this time of year.
ibrox3, on 09 August 2020 - 02:39 PM, said: Lowest weekly numbers for years on the EU server ?eekeeboo: Not even close.

yodelihiti, on 10 August 2020 - 06:53 AM, said: Based on personal observations I would say they lost 1/3rd of the
playerbase in a week. Since this is their last succesfull title I
expect the number of WG employees to dwindle accordingly. I
checked the US forum yesterday. It is the same there. For me
it's game over after 9 years. No way I am going to go through 200+
vandalised tanks (when I am forced). eekeeboo: Refer above
grasho, on 10 August 2020 - 07:22 AM, said: I did play a few matches over the weekend, and equipped a few
tanks. I noticed several things. The categorisation
slots are pointless for meds and heavies; the equipment going into
slot 1 is vents. The categorisation works for passive scouts; the equipment going into slot 1 is exhaust. I am not ending up with more diverse configurations; I seem to be settling on consistent equipment setups based on how I play the tank, not on WG’s intended role for that tank. Yes, I am putting optics onto heavies.
Other players are still stupid. The recommendation at the start of each match to pay attention to highlighted areas results in heavies going to where mediums should be and heavies not going to where heavies should be. The Dicker Max is not the best active scout, but when most of the team goes full retard, you can help the one or two decent tier 8 players by popping up at different places to spot the enemy.
And that last example made me realise how wrong WG (and Eekaboo) are. The secret to having fun in WoT is not playing the tank the way WG think it should be played, but playing your tank in ways it should never have to be played (e.g. active scouting in a Dicker Max). It is the challenge and ability to push your tank beyond its design and role that adds the fun.
eekeeboo: I actively said how my equipment loadouts have changed little also,
hence the overreaction statment. And while you can have fun playing
a tanke the way it's not supposed to be played, you should only do
this when you know HOW, a player with less than 1k games who
doesn't know spotting, camo or armout mechanics yolog scouting on
Prok is going to rage more than a person who knows how it should be
done. There is a point when you can get away with it, for yourself
after that many battles you know how it should be done, many do
not. 09:10 Added after 8 minute

NOBODY said "Hey I want to pay to move my Binos in future". NOBODY said "Hey I don't want equipment or consumable slots on low tier tanks". So pray tell me, how equipment 2.0 is moving in the direction of the majority? #WalletClosed #Uninstalled
eekeeboo: Plenty of people said "WHY is that guy redlining?!" - because he
was encouraged to, "WHY is he so bad?!" Well maybe he doesn't have
the right equipment while the other guy does, "This is way too
complicated" - MANY people say this and close the game and leave
within 10 battles. Again the focus is on the majority, including
the people who leave, not just people like yourself. There are more
player demographics than those that just fit into your
segementation, including new and prospective players. Again, you
have have been hashtagging those for a while
