View PostTrostani, on 11 March 2020 - 10:07 AM, said: According to GDPR nick in computer game (but also Name and Last Name)  are not protected information as long they won't match data with real person. It means that you are allowed to make list of banned players as long nick don't allow to match it with physicall person - but if it happen you even can't share stats via API. So you can even publish that John Smith was banned for using illegal mods but you will break law if you will publish that it was John Smith from Cambridge, UK, living on Wellington Street. Those all GDPR excusess means that your legal departament is absolutely incompetent or you just want to protect cheaters as much as possible. Most funny is that CIS server don't have problem with 'naming and shaming' and listing banned cheaters but EU and NA have. Maybe it means that EU office fully accept cheating because they affraid that to many will be banned and current bane waves only are made to cover real scale of cheating.

eekeeboo: Except because the nickname is part of your wargaming ID which can be pulled from the API. If it wasn't there wouldn't be a request for account information deletion when you want to delete you account according to GDPR purposes, including forum posts where you also put some of your information. Gaming nicknames are a part of any identifiable information and giving those out for people to use is a big nope of nope, same as IP addresses.  As I said, that's the rule and the law, you can accept or not, there' a stage at which no matter what is said, someone will choose to find any excuse no matter what. We're not going to break any laws for the sake of trying to prove truth to someone who's not going to believe it regardless.
