eekeeboo: Instead of quoting I'm going to express a general "broad" statement after investigation and discussion.    First Part (Most Important):  1)  In this case, the reported name (yes it was reported) triggered an action because when you google the name and you go to the search results, it's very clear what the name is and how it would break the forum rules.    2)  The name may have been through the system when capitalized or called out on a video, but in those instances, the name was seen for what it is/was and not looking for any particular offensive or rule breaking, not many times when people look at names are they looking to see if it breaks a rule or what particular reference it has, like my own.    3)  Other names that are rule breaking and not banned: We have a blacklist system for names and this is used carefully to not over moderate or prevent names of different permeations. While some people have a username that breaks rules if they no longer play then they do not get reported while simultaneously acting as a name blocker to prevent people from getting a rule-breaking name.    4)  Why Some names are not sanctioned when they clearly break rules: It's simply impossible to prevent every version of a name that can break the rules and people will find a way, that's why the reporting function is in place and those instances that are clear rule breaking will trigger an action, like this instance, for some names that are in place for a long time and never played, then they will not get reported and thus not get caught.    5)  Why names that can be searched and found to be breaking the rules are not sanctioned: In the names listed, while you are able to search the names and thus able to find to sanction them, as you can imagine support has an extensive list and amount of work with tickets to process. These will keep the staff busy beyond having the time to actively search through the player lists and look up each name and how it may break rules when there are already tickets out there with people already reporting them.    I've gone through each post thus far and tried to answer the questions clearly and in this case, it would set a precedence that promotes grey area ruling on a name that evidently rules breaking but we allow it because of what once was rather than it's a rule broken but not actioned previously.
