Obj 257 armor explain. Help?

So basically the tank is just a slow, bad gun handling/inaccurate with tendency rely on a very flawed armor piece of garbage?   I knew that I should have gone with T10 and Object277 line. Having a tank whos whole thing is "armor" is weak given the power creep and gold ammo. Better have a good gun and spend less time exposed than a slow aiming tank with "good" armor.
