Celebrate the Lunar New Year in World of Tanks

Do you see a lot of companies in Europe celebrating the Chinese new year? Can you find any, that don't do it to cater to Chinese people living in Europe? And yet Wargaming chooses to use this cultural event regardless. Which is absolutely fine. The more events the merrier. I'm all for it.   I just gave the readers of this thread my opinion as to why Wargaming chose to link an event to the Chinese new year and thereby encourage people to play Chinese tanks. Nothing more, nothing less. And stated that I think there could be a better way to achieve the goal I think they had in mind. It could be wrong, but it makes perfect sense from a business perspective. You arguing with your customer about why his opinion is absolutely wrong is an interesting tactic for someone involved in customer relations. I'll leave it at that.

eekeeboo:   I tried to communicate with you differently and you refused to acknowledge something you didn't agree with, so I made it as clear as possible. You can take the first option or the second option, it is not my fault you have been unable to comprehend the actual intention and purpose of the special and why it's taking place.    And yes you see a lot of companies celebrating the Chinese new year because there are a lot of players who follow this calendar or are of Chinese descent. If it's a big worldwide event, what you're essentially asking is, don't celebrate it if it doesn't mean anything to you. Like countries who celebrate the festive holiday differently are still able to play the Christmas special and take part if they want, we don't discriminate because someone doesn't like it.    The problem you're having is you can't accept that specials are for multiple people and not just for yourself, in which case, yes your opinion is wrong. Everyone who plays the game should be able to enjoy a huge special and a large event, not having to miss out, just because YOU personally don't like it.    If you are unwilling to accept a different perspective you will find yourself frustrated more and more frequently in life, especially when you start coming across and interacting with people from other cultures and backgrounds.
