Get Ready for the First XP Fever of the Year

I thought the special was good, with a decent reward for winning 3 games etc. I have to say though, that the bulk of the MM for the games was pretty dismal. It was favorable MM to my team about 25% of the time and unfavorable MM about 75% of the time. I use XVM with the WGR color scale. When I say unfavorable, for example: I mean 3 yellow players on my team versus 4 yellow + 2 green players on the opposing team. It was sometimes, much more unbalanced than that. The worst MM I experienced, was 4 yellow + 1 green player on my team versus 8 yellow + 2 green players on the opposing team. For most of the time, the XVM color rankings are a very reliable indicator, that the team with more of the higher ranked players on their side, is going to win the game. I can't understand why WOT won't use player rankings, along with other factors, to help make better MM, for a more pleasurable gaming experience. It's not fun to play game after game, against a much better team and lose, over and over again. Some players will say, that it will balance out over time and that if you lose most of your matches one night, then the next night you will win most of your matches. I have not found this to be a true statement. If the average player is at 47-48% WR, then the MM is by design, trying to make you lose a little more each game, than win. Also, the games that are the most well matched, ie the same color distribution of players on each side, are usually the most exciting and fun games to play. A lot of times, you can't really tell who is going to win, until the very last minute of the game. I recently saw a QuickyBaby video, where he discussed that WOT is losing customers. WOT management, I have a suggestion. Will you please include player rankings in the formula for your MM? Most customers (including myself) are getting tired of playing repetitive, losing games, over and over again. Mainly because of such badly unbalanced MM. Right now, I maybe play once a week. If the MM were better and more balanced, I would probably play every day, because the game would be so much more interesting and rewarding to play.

eekeeboo:   Firstly this is completely off-topic and "skill-based" mm will not be the solution you think it will be, the more you understand those rating systems the more you'd understand how much they would not help at all.
