Mr_Burrows, on 03 January 2019 - 04:46 PM, said: 1) Work faster. Much, much faster. And keep the
playerbase informed about what is down the pipeline. Communication
has never been WG's forté. Change that, too. 2)
Changes in 1.0 were made more complex than necessary from a pure
spectator view. And along with those came a whole other set of
changes, like map changes, that made no sense other than to
slightly buff tanks with somewhat bad gun depression (and we all
know what tank line that is). And the rework of maps, making them
worse to play makes no sense what so ever. You cannot blame the old
respectively new game engine for those. 3) I do not
care, tbh. The criticism against arty is pretty massive. You just
cannot keep on saying "it is compex" just to avoid the problem.
Which is what you do, or so it seems. And thb, you allow for people
to do skirmishes, stronghold, and other game modes. Locking out
arty cannot be that hard. It really cannot. 4)
Absolutely. And there are 5 different types of vehicles in this
game. Heavies got buffed. None other did (besides Bobject). Makes
no sense. And statistically - is it world of heavy tanks or world
of tanks we are supposed to play? And come on.
Current MM is a mess. Just finally admit it. But sure, if you feel
like bringing out the extremes, let us continue with that. I get
put in games with my M46KR against tier 10 tanks, and with the
current MM and corridor-y maps I have about zero chance to do
dmg to anything heavier than an IS 3 if I do not shoot prem
ammo. And even if I do shoot prems only I struggle
against anything tier 9. Tier 10? Just fugeddaboudit. And despite
this you have another suggestion going, this to nerf dmg from prem
ammo, making the experience of playing tier 8's even worse. Well,
anything but tier 8 heavies that might be. That is pretty
much extreme - to me. I have been around since 2012. I
know what the game used tro be like, and I know what I see today.
From my perspective the game peaked just before the old ELC was
nerfed. After that most changes has been bad for the game
experience. Well, one thing excluded: Frontline. I hope we do not
wake up and find that the new version has gotten the nerf hammer
like Fjords did. eekeeboo: 1) I am going to assume you do not realise how big a game
WoT is and the level and amount of work involved in the development
of a game. It's better to work smarter not harder/faster. More so
about sharing information as well as you'd understand how much
things change and how quickly hence when information is
shared. 2) 1.0 was important to start working with an engine
that had things that could be worked with, the old engine was
simply at the end of what was possible. When you update an engine
the way it was and rework maps and physics effects, everything has
to change the way it did. 3) The fact you do not care,
doesn't mean others don't. It's complex and not easily just 1 thing
you can do to change, the fact you don't care should illustrate you
have no investment in wanting a resolution suitable for all.
4) The MM isn't a "mess" it's actually pretty concise in its
calculations and the way it does the matchmaker. But I also
remember, as I'm sure you do, when the current MM had high hopes
because of the way it would change and bring more balance, the best
plans don't always work out. 5) I didn't bring out extremes,
those things i mentioned are ALL "old wot" the OP and you say you
understand and want "old wot" exactly which, there's a lot of old
WoT that conflicts with each other like the previous 3 arty
reworks. Which old WoT mm do you want? 6) The premium
ammunition changes as they are currently planned were one of the
largest (I don't know the exact numbers) proposals and supported by
players. 7) You think the old ELC was fine, but I also know
the old ELC was over-powered. Are you saying you want over-powered,
only on the tanks you agree with.
