eekeeboo: The problem you have is that the definition of pay to win has been
misaligned with the era of younger gamers. Traditionally Pay
to win was the act of a game only allowing you to progress to a
certain point in a game either progress or inventory/equipment wise
etc, while those who paid could get the full deal or better
stuff. Now Pay to win is the act of someone/something
allowing the payment of real money to skip progress or gain an
advantage over other players who are more skilled/grindy.
Where the OP has fallen down is that he has misunderstood
the second part, in that you do not have to use real money to get
the same advantage and as such gets now real advantage, if you
tactically as a person believe you cannot run full gold... then
that is you choice that is not forced upon you in any way other
than income. The other person who does run gold, has the exact same
limitations as you but is willing to make a loss, this is mitigated
through good play, hitting all the shells etc. You
could then argue that someone with a better credit balance can get
away with this etc, well you would have a point were the game not
designed to allow you to create a huge balance of credits to then
do as you please with. What pray tell would a "nay-sayer" tell a
person with over 10 million credits surplus on their account do
with all of those if they already have all the tanks they want?
Additionally a point i just realised with a username like
yours, i'd fire gold at you regardless, whether you were in a tier
2 and i was in a maus or not.....
