We continue presenting interviews with Ural Steel Tournament qualifying winners. And now we introduce the interview with Jeff728, the brave commander of Iron Wolves clan which won in 10/140 Division on North American server.
- How did your team gather? And who are its members? How long have you been playing WOT?
We started recruiting in July and formed the clan because WoT is very innovative and feel it has great potential and meets our #1 goal - to have fun. We have played in all tournaments starting with First Championship CBT when we had around 10 members. Now we are well over 100 members strong.
- How long did it take for you and your teammates to feel free in battles, to become a single whole?
While we are a group of very diverse individuals coming from more than 6 countries coming to the point where we felt as one group took time. Almost all of us come from a gaming background so it didn't take long for us to find common ground. So as all of us are gamers at heart we were able to come together and "Fight for the Pack" giving us a unified goal.
- How did the decision to participate in “Ural Steel” Championship come?
We are here to compete and have a great time.
- What were the most popular vehicles used by the team members?
The IS7, T30, T54, and Object 212 are our favorites but we do play almost everything.
- Were there any difficulties your team were facing during battles? Who were your most severe opponents?
We did lose 1 battle to the Iron Raiders so I would say that they win the title “most severe opponent”
A personal note to EgoSpartan – you scratched my tank I need your insurance information
- What do you think about the organization/requirements/rules of the Championship? Would you like to have changes anything?
It feels like things are a little rushed at times and then periods of not enough information Overall I feel it went off better then the previous competitions and we understand we are learning where the bumps in the road are and I feel things are looking good for future competitions. I would like to add Overlord is doing a awesome job and Vallter is handling the Finals in Moscow details and communication has been great.
- What are your expectations from the Grand Finals in Moscow? How easy/difficult will it be to struggle with Russian and American players?
Looking at the number of teams on the Russian and European servers it is very daunting and we are preparing for some of the toughest matches to date. We tied for 3rd in the Absolute division of the Battle League on the European server so we do have some idea of what to expect. We are looking forward to meeting our fellow WoT Tankers from around the world in person.
- Do you have any unique tactics that are always helpful, or have you prepared something special for the Grand Finals?
We rush the middle.
- Would you like to wish anything to your partners /your EU-server supporters or rivals-to-be?
Of course “Good Luck and see you in Moscow!” and we have checked on the rules - buying the other team drinks before the match is not prohibited.
