Pirates Go to Russia to Win

Дата: 18.04.2011 16:37:34
admin: We carry on with our succession of interviews with the captains of winner teams of Ural Steel Championship of the EU-server. This week is the turn of Pirates “Henry Morgan” and their leader halfik.
-          Halfik, our traditional congratulations to you and your team! You have done a really great job and we hope that you will prove your winning status in Moscow also. I am sure that all your supporters (and I bet most of EU-server players will keep fingers crossed for you) are interested in who exactly is going to represent them. So, tell us about the members of your team, please.
-          Team was made to play 1st Championship World of Tanks CBT (closed beta test) where we ended at 3rd place. Later we had small squad changes, but core players are the same. And most of guys play this game since first days of CB.
Players are from all the world basically. 7 are from Poland, 2 from USA, 2 from Argentina, 2 from Indonesia, 2 from Germany, 1 from Romania, 1 from Greece, 1 from England and dunno about 2 others.
-          And how did the decision to participate in “Ural Steel” Championship come?
-          We are one of the oldest clans on EU-server. We have experience in playing tournaments from 1st CBT and Battle Leagues. We took 1st and 2nd place in junior and champions division in BL. So, decision to play another tournament was easy. We love to play tournaments.
-          What were the most popular vehicles used by the team members?
-          We use a lot of different tanks. Some guys love T32, other IS7, S51, American T7 arty and so on. There are a lot of great vehicles so anyone can find something interesting for themselves.
-          Were there any difficulties your team was facing during battles? Which rival team was the biggest threat for you?
-          We played against only one team which gameplay we liked. It was Polish Iron Oldboys. The score was 2:0 but he had to work really hard to win against them. On the other hand we had easy games against CS Army ORANGE: the score was 2 x 14:2 or in finals where the score was 14:0 and 13:2.
-          What do you think about the organization/requirements/rules of the Championship? Would you like to have changes anything?
-          Organization was great. In game system is awesome. Map choice was pretty good.  There is nothing I would change in 8/90. But IMHO there should be changes in 6/60 - point limit should be 70 not 60. And changes in 10/140 - there should be limit like 110-120 - so teams would have to think about lineup - use cheaper tanks and arties.
-          What are your expectations from the Grand Finals in Moscow? How easy/difficult will it be to struggle with Russian and American players?
-          We are going there to win :)  We know the American clan AoD. We never played against them but they are one of the best clans on the US-server.  As for the Russian teams. We know only Red Tide from the EU-server, we had a chance to play against them in 1st CBT where they knocked us out in semi-finals. Later we played against them in semi-finals in champions BL where we knocked them out :) Other Russian teams I know only from movies I saw on youTube. Can't say much about best Russian teams.
-          Would you like to wish anything to your partners or maybe even rivals?
-          We wish a lot of fun to all teams in Moscow!
-          And WE wish YOU good luck and we hope that you will show your courage, stamina and zeal in the Grand Finals!
Next week is the last week when we are publishing EU-server winners interviews. Redbull12, 1SBP (1 Sarmacki Batalion Pancerny) captain, will tell our forum-readers about their preparedness to the Grand Finals.
