The Diary of a Newcomer (Part II)

admin: Day 5:
"As I started to play WoT quite recently and still have no idea about some tricks (I’m still a noob) my colleagues decided to pull me up a little bit. They created a platoon and called me to join them. Specially for this occasion I bought a new tank with a beautiful name Matilda. Before starting my first battle as a part of the platoon I decided to research the tank. Finally they will see me in action (I shouldn’t let them down)!
We pressed the button ‘Battle’ simultaneously and found ourselves in the same battle:
Let’s go guys! Let’s show them how to fight! I mean WAIT FOR ME!!! Now I should get my composure and try to keep together with my platoon.
I want to thank my colleague-tankmen for not leaving me along during the whole battle. They were protecting my tank from enemy’s shells, waiting for me on every crossroad.
In such a way we took part in several battles rushing through plains, lakes and hills of Prokhorovka and Lassville, sticking in sends of Sand River and fighting on the streets of Himmelsdorf and Ensk.
Unfortunately we need to come back to work. We had a wonderful time and I even managed to stay alive for more than 3 minutes. I hope it wasn’t our last battle."
Day 6:
"In the afternoon we will be moving from one room to another. We’re not living our favorite 9th floor. We just need more space for our new colleagues. They’re starting on Monday.
The removal is appointed at 3 p.m. So, for several hours we will turn into movers and start to carry our things to the new room. We’ve decided to take everything – computers (it goes without saying), tables, favorite chairs, partitions and beanbag chair in military style colors (the fetish of our Department).

The whole corridor was literally filled with our stuff. Dying of laughter we were creeping under the tables, trying to connect our computers or find outlets.
Discussing the layout we were “fighting” for the best places to sit.
Margaret and I (there are only two girls in this department) were in charge of tidying up our new room and of keeping up eagle spirit of sweating colleagues. Time has passed quickly.
By the way, I assured myself once again that moving is very useful. You have a unique chance to find things you’ve considered to be lost forever."
Day 7:
"Finally, I found my ideal tank (more precisely, it has found me as the magic wand has found Harry Potter). Today I have changed "Tractor" (МС-1) for "SPG T-57". After a short research and few training battles it became easy enough not to get destroyed pretty fast. But, frankly speaking, it’s not actually important any more. I have decided to change fighting strategy and to transform the new tank into "hiding-in-bushes-SPG".
And I really found it very comfortable. You just sit in bushes, crashing almost half of your rivals (so far I didn’t manage to kill more than 3 enemies for a battle)."
Day 8
"I can’t stand it any more. It’s impossible to live normal life any longer. I don't know what to do. I simply can't drive the car along the evening streets of Minsk. I was lucky to pass my practice near my father’s office, so he drives me home after work. But recently it has become impossible for him to stay in the car with me. We leave for home when it’s already dark outside and the back lights of the cars (they have red color – color of rivals in WoT) are well visible. As soon as a car suddenly appears on a crossroads I give a cry: «Here it is! Aim! Destroy it! What are you waiting for, it will crush my tank!!!» (Maybe it’s time for me to get a treatment?)
I’ve never thought that there was a game to capture my mind in the way WoT did it.
Just five minutes ago I got amazing news. On Wednesday Wargaming .net arranges ice-skating party for all its workers. I’m totally mesmerized by this idea. I’ll tell you more about it in the next edition of the Diaries."
