Tanitha: It happened a lot before when you got to about 6500+ online.
Maybe its happening more now because more people are online to check out the patch.
What was/is the number of players in game?
*Edit, i managed to get online, there was 4000 so not that high compared to other times.
Maybe the game server is linked to the updater and people are patching.
