team with all tomatoes or 45%wr players against a team that has
mainly 52% plus players. Which ends in the 3/15 results that have
become so common. Most people don't mind losing when the result is
9/15 or thereabouts, it's the frequency of the total whitewash that
rankles. Even winning 15/3 doesn't see many 'GG' comments at end,
few people enjoy an easy win unless it has been against an equal
opponent. I think it is this which has seen the increase of the
lemming train, a Command and Conquer tank rush which relies on
'rock, paper' scissors' chance often seems like a better option
than matching your skill against an overwhelmingly superior team.Ph3lan: The matchmaking is not taking into account the skill of the
players when it creates the matches. This is not because we are
unable to create a skill based matchmaking, but because that is not
the point of random battles. I know that a lot of people think that
skill based matchmaking would make every battle balanced and more
fun but that is not actually so simple. Skill balanced battles
would still result in complete stomps (for example when one flank
collapses) but they would also bring a lot of other problems.

you’ll see more 3/5/7 and 5/10 teams, which should provide for a
more enjoyable experience." We need more 1 tier battles, not
3/5/7... Ph3lan:

categorise all the tanks individually and match team by class and
category. OR +1/-1 - no wait, this sounds too complicated.
"After some extra tuning, you’ll see more 3/5/7 and 5/10

3/5/7 isn't enjoyable when you are perma bottom tier. Playing
tier 6,7,8 is likely to be bottom tier due to the insane number of
tier 8s. And most of them are scorpion Gs. Why is this
so difficult to grasp?Ph3lan: As another player I am a bit confused about why you would want this
tbh
This
type of battle is fun once in a while but in the long run you would
lose a lot of variety. The amount of tanks you would be able to
face would be severely restricted compared to now. I am fairly
sure people would get fed up with this kind of
matchmaking pretty fast. Similarly to skilled
matchmaking this seems like a no-brainer on the surface, but it
actually leads to a lot of problems. For example when WoT Blitz
switched over to +1/-1 MM, soon after players started to complain
and ask for the old MM to be implemented again, because they felt
that the battles lacked variety.
