calculation for skill. Skill is realising you need to
sacrifice your tank for your team to win. Not hiding like a p@ssy
in the back trying to stay alive and then losing. It's
better for you to do 4K damage, die and win then doing 4K damage
losing but staying alive. Survival rate is as relevant as hitratio
in this game.Ph3lan:

till the end.. anyway there must be a problem with rating's
formulas. It shows me as top 1% in many ratings and I'm a noob.
That would mean many MANY players play this game without sound,
monitor off etcc if they're that bad..Ph3lan: I am glad to see that most people like the new rating
system. I can also see that the most critical point for you guys is
the inclusion of survival rate in the calculation and we will let
the devs know about your concern. That being said, I don't think we
should dismiss survival rate as an irrelevant stat just yet.
While sometimes it is indeed required to go in and sacrifice
yourself for the greater good, personally I think that most of the
time staying alive is more beneficial for both the player and the
team. Your contribution to the game is not only your damage output,
your simple presence can already turn the tide. Simply by blocking
a chock-point or threatening a flank, pinning a couple of enemy
tanks down you can completely change the outcome of the battle
and you lose all your pressure as soon as you are destroyed. Doing
4k damage and dying, but winning the game is obviously better than
doing 4k damage only after the battle was effectively lost. However
the best outcome is still to do 4k damage, survive, and win.
In my experience, good players tend to do the latter more,
resulting in better winrates and better survival rates as
well.

works even for XVM users?Ph3lan: Not sure myself yet, but I'll investigate.
