A sad and disgusting direction: Obj252U

Ph3lan: Hey guys! I haven't played the 252U yet (I'll probably play
around with it today), but I suspect that most of the people in
this thread are in the same boat so we are basically just making
assumptions. Which is fine, but in my experience it is extremely
easy to make the wrong assumptions when you are only looking at the
stats. When I first saw the tank my reaction was quite
similar to that of a lot of people in this thread. I thought
that this might become the best Tier VIII premium we introduced so
far. After watching a couple of videos and thinking about a bit
more it seems to me that while the 252U looks like a great tank, it
has it's downsides as well (as it should). The 252U looks "flashy"
when it comes to the most obvious stats people are usually looking
at, mainly the armor and damage values, but this is offset by the
soft stats of the tank. The mobility is far from the best and
the gun handling could be challenging at times. While the armor may
seem great, don't forget that unlike the IS-6 this tank will see
Tier X tanks. I know that people have this idea that Russian
tanks are always better, but in my own experience that is
absolutely not the case. Every nation/line has its advantages and
the Russian heavies are relatively easy to play and succeed in.
Other thanks might be less forgiving, but offer more when played
right. In my experience, Russian tanks are reliable "work
horses" but personally I like to play some other tanks
which have a higher risk/reward ratio. To each his own I
guess
The 252U looks like a very
solid and fun tank which will definitely shine in some situations
(when it is top tier and can get close to the enemy), but I don't
think it will be OP overall. Obviously I'll have to play with it
and against it to form a more valid opinion. I suggest you guys do
the same and share your feedback so we can forward it to the
developers. - Ph3lan
