Current state of cheating in world of tanks.

Дата: 28.08.2016 15:29:26
Ph3lan: Hi everyone!
I’ve read the thread and I’ve seen quite a few really well thought out posts about the topic. Thanks for your feedback guys! At this point all I can really do is tell you my own opinion as a player and assure you as a Wargaming employee that this is an issue that we are very much aware of and something we are looking into. I don’t think this is something we can solve for good since WoT is a competitive online game and the fight against cheating and illegal modifications is a fight that never ends. That being said, I think that WoT is still better off than many other competitive games out there due to its server side calculations.
Personally I agree with a lot of players saying that aim-bots and other modifications are much less game changing than they are made out to be. They might give the user a slight advantage in certain situation, however a good player without an aim-bot still performs better than someone relying on it completely. In quite a few cases using them is actually detrimental. Aim-bots can’t do anything that a good player can’t do better and their overall impact is way less than some players claim. I agree with many of the posters who said that the irrational fear of cheaters in the game is a much bigger problem in the game than the actual “cheaters” themselves. Don’t get me wrong though, this doesn’t make using aim-bots right! They can still give you an unfair advantage in certain situations and this is still an issue that we have to look into and try to address as soon as possible. However, in my humble opinion, the game is far from the apocalyptic state some people are envisioning.
