Its matchmaking always seemed fine for me, you get a good mix of matches with an occasional streak of lucky (=Tier 6) or unlucky (=Tier 8) match- ups.
A well played T-150 can dominate when top tier and those matches are fun as hell, but the T-150 can still be fun in Tier 8, you just get relegated to a "slow medium tank" role. With a few premium rounds, you can still contribute quite a lot.
