Turret armor increase seems like a good idea to improve it's facehugging potential but I'm not sure if 10mm will make any difference (maybe against other E-100 or Maus, but in close range thir guns are placed high enough to hit policebar so it doesn't make much difference anyway).

1. No, it's not obligatory for the new MM. Working as intended.
2. I'd say it is better to be used and mid range, since the vehicle is not agile enough for close combat. As for the exact role, agree on the fact it may not be clear enough.
