You can picture this situation: Map is Mines, i am in IS-4 with S-70 below the hill, but not close to the ledge. An E-75, on the hill pokes from above, clearly exposing his lower glacis. He stays horizontal, and does not move over the ledge to try to hit me - he aims at somebody in base. I raise the gun and point it cleanly at lower glacis. I am thinking "the angle is certainly greater than when we are on same level, i'll penetrate for sure". I fire! "We just dinged them..."
