So is the VS the better choice for heavies when you can only mount one (for meds it's a given I think). I tend to mount VS instead of EGLD on my US heavies, but if 20% faster aiming with VS because of 20% smaller reticule is a myth I might replace VS for EGLD since I do not fire much on the move.

Overlord: Both modules have their own totally independent effect.
VS decreases gun dispersion during movement and traverse, ie it decreases the total size of the aiming circle.
EGLD makes your gun aim faster, ie increases the speed of the aiming circle grows smaller.
Cumulative gameplay effect of the two is rather strong.
