Q1: If you do it, does it mean you'll also increase spall liner coefficient? If I understand the HE damage formula correctly, what spall liner does is increasing the armor absorption coefficient:
Final Damage = (Shell Damage / 2) * (1 - Distance / Splash Radius) - Armor Thickness * 1.3 * Spall Coefficient
Coefficient = 1.00 if no spall liner installed, or 1.15 - spall liner installed
So decreasing armor absorption coefficient (this is 1.3 in the formula above) without changing spall liner cofficient will mean effectively reducing spall liner usefulness.
Q2: What "Armor Thickness" means exactly in the formula above?
I assumed this doesn't mean "effective armor thickness" (i.e. with the impact angle taken into account), as explosions go in all directions, so it shouldn't matter at what angle HE shell hits the armor. I saw some posters claim otherwise, however.
Thanks

Overlord: 1. No, it doesn't.
2. Armor has HE absorption rate specified per mm of its thickness. The thicker the armor, the better it absorbs HE damage.
