Raptor, on 05 November 2011 - 02:47 PM, said: What about this idea (I think that Victor Kislyi was talking about
this in some interview) concerning several clan wars divisions with
seperate maps/provinces/income? I'm sure that many inexperienced
clans which can't get on the map but still have a lot of members
would like to try in other CW division for example with junior or
champions leagues rules regarding allowed tanks' tiers. Of course
"better" clans wouldn't be interested in fighting on map with less
profitable provinces but still it would be a chance for those
hundreds of clans to actually play. A the guy above said right now
we have a small dominating majority which is effectively stopping
any attempt to enter the map for clans who are not a part of some
big alliance or very, very skillful. And ever powerful clans have
troubles reentering the map because CW is getting harder every
month due to sheer number of clans who are getting better. It's
good for old clans but terrible for those new which doesn't even
have the chance.
The only exception is Africa where we can see a bigger (in comparison to Europe) clan rotation. So the answer is simple. If we, If You want to let this vast majority of players have more fun from end game content instead of them growind more tired and frustrated of not being able to even land in the Bir Gandus (do you have an idea how many jokes about that province and desperadoes trying to land at least there every day are telled in powerful clans?
) you have to create more Africa like
provinces, or maps. And here it comes the idea of CW divisions.
Absolute for the best clans. Champions for mediocre ones. And
Junior for those who maybe won't gain too much gold (the best
provinces could give gold such as in Africa or even worse, people
wouldn't care as long as they would have an impression they aren't
useless pice of crap and they can actually achieve something) but
still will have their share of fun. Right now only we, good clans
and big alliances are having a good time, and gold, lots of it. You
said you hope to develop this game for 10 years so I think that you
want your player base grow steadily over next several years at
least. So tell me how are u going to change the fact that only 72
clans, let's say 720 people, a less that 1% of the whole clanbase
are having fun, and the rest is just headbanging on the big walls
called starting zones protected by big NAP alliances and little
provinces number wall? And there's gonna be more players and more
clans and getting on the current map will be even harder for those
who will join later. Even right now sometimes there are so many
participants in starting zones tournaments (1/32) that the last
battle with owners is about 11 PM in Europe. And what's gonna
happen when there will be more players? 1/64 tournaments ending at
00:00? 1/128 ending at 1 AM? It will be troublesome for everyone.
That minority still deserves to have fun (getting obliterated every
night on starting zone is not too enjoyable ;] ) too in my
opinion.
So my question is: When can we expect CW divisions?

Overlord: The feature has not entered the production yet, so giving any ETA
is really hard.
