I have a question concerning the Mark 5 Sixpounder... as far a I know this was a longer barreled version of the Mark 3 with higher muzzle velocity and therefore higher penetration (and accuray I would guess) ... yet ingame it performs exactly the same as a Mark 3 sixpounder... Any chance that this might be buffed in the future ( I had pen 115-120, and maybe acc 0.37-0.36 in mind, but then again I'm not the expert

Point is, the only Vehicle currently having acces to the Mark 5 is the Churchill, which happens to be the only Tier 5 premium in dire need of a buff IMO... on the Ram II the sixpounder Mark 3 is just fine, this tank has the agility to get in close and shovel its 105 pen shells up the backsides of higher tiers... the Churchill on the other hand is too slow and cumbersome to get in close combat with the enemy, even a KV can outrun it.
In the end you often have to attack opponents over a distance, which poses a Problem starting from some Tier 5 opponents.
Now, while I'd like to see HE too on all sixpounders (after all, the shell DID exist in RL), it seems the HE shell was weak in RL, and as the russian 57mm HE shells also have a rather low damage, I don't think that alone is a solution... giving the Mark 5 Sixpounder a better penetration on the other hand, even if its just a small buff, and maybe some accuray, would at least level the Field against opponents on its own tier and below, and maybe it would stand better chances of penetrating higher tiers.
Any chance a change like that MIGHT be in the Pipeline somewhere in the future?
Also, IF there was a slightly buffed Mark 5 Sixpounder available, any chance that the M7 gets it as additional Tier 5 gun (all other guns it can have are tier 4 and below)?
I don't think the M7 is a bad tank atm, but it suffers from having both a rather small engine for its speed and a rather crappy gun for its tier... Not a problem on the durable Ram II, on the squishy M7 however... And also, in RL afaik all Sixpounder Mark 3 equipped vehicles were upgraded to Mark 5 when it became available (Mark 3 was a stopgap solution done because of material shortages), so if the M7 would have been built and euipped with sixpounders, I assume the upgrade would have been done there too...
Anyway, enough with the questions. As dedicated Sixpounder fan you can imagine how much I look forward to the british tree

Overlord: Currently there are no plans to tweak it.
