As far as i understand, delay of 7.0 patch is mainly because of problems with multi cluster technology which atm have their purpose only on russian server, and for your company this is main feature of this patch am i correct? In other hand, judging from forum feedback, most of players are far more interested in partiaily restored traces (mainly arty ones) and this feature is ready as far as i know.
So the question is. Do you consider pulling back multi cluster thing to another patch to give you more time to test it, and release patch with already finished features to keep your schedule (if not for all servers, then at least for EU and USA)?. Dont you think that this would start a positive trend of having new features faster on smaller servers?.
Overlord: Yes, multi cluster technology is the key of 7.0 for us, the thing
is that we simply can't push it back any longer since Russian
server (which is the biggest one) needs it badly. With online peaks
above 236k players, it loses stability. Multi cluster technology is
aimed at solving the issue by enabling us to use to independent
servers combined in one gaming cluster (RU).
What's more, most of the features in 7.0 (barring some content) are closely linked to the multi cluster technology and can be released separately.
