What causes HE ammo to ricochet?
My assumptions are:
- When all HE damage is absorbed by enemy armor, you get the ricochet message (e.g 75mm HE to the face of T95, or similar relatively low damage to big amount of armor)
- 80+ degree auto-bounce does not apply to HE ammo
- Effectively, HE ammo never actually ricochets, the crew message of damage being totally absorbed is just the same as with AP "ding"
So, are these assumptions correct, and are there additional rules in place?
