  The reason why there were so many is the community thinks its a big enough topic to make so many about, otherwise there wouldn't be so many topics which have 5+ pages of discussion, they would simple be a handful of posts and that's it, not multiple pages.
      TL;DR open 1 or 2 of the more active ones you closed.
