LiannaSilverwind: Can you please specify which parametres should we use considering
our vote for The Best Tank?
For example:
1) Tank must have excellent armor to withstand enemy fire.
2) Tank must have excellent cannon/optics to be able to destroy enemy tanks at range.
3) Tank must have good mobility and speed on road and off-road.
4) Tank must be able to move long distances, cross bridges, be able to be transported via railroad etc.
5) Tank must be cheap enough to be produced in enough quantity to ensure absolute superiority on the battlefield.
6) Tank must be universal in order to fight both armoored vehicles and infantry.
7) Tank must provide maximum comfort for the crew.
8) Tank must be mechanically reliable in all weather conditions.
There is great difference between ideal tank for duels at open field or ideal tank for crossing vast distances or ideal tank for breaking through defensive lines or ideal tank for winning the war...
Before casting the vote, I suggest to imagine the following:
WHAT IF
1) Germans would not produce Pz IV, Tigers & Panthers but produce Shermans?
2) Germans would not produce Pz IV, Tigers & Panthers but produce T-34, KV and IS?
3) Soviets would not produce T-34, KV and IS, but Pz IV, Tigers and Panthers?
4) Soviets would not produce T-34, KV and IS, but Shermans?
5) US would not produce Shermans, but Pz IV, Tigers and Panthers?
6) US would not produce Shermans, but T-34, KV and IS?
Would such production links ensure victory in the war for their country? If yes, you have probably chosen the tank you consider being the best.
