most popular projects, today about World of Tanks.
Q: Do you plan to add special perks, modules and consumables for specific tanks to make nations more unique?
A: No, tank differences are enough.
Q: How do you plan to support cybersport life of the project?
A: Changing tournament tables, calendars, results. Probably will not change anything in the client. Will probably add more functionality via www. Client will get observer mode for making movies and maybe server-based replays. Unfortunately will not happen tomorrow, maybe at the end of the year.
Q: Do you plan to balance players in teams basing on the player's skill?
A: No, skill is your privilege. If you are skilled, you can pwn.
Q: Do you plan any other global change, besides physics, for example destructible objects?
A: Destructible objects will be partially done with physics, partially after it. In order to destroy objects on server and send data back to clients we need computers unreal in current IT age. We add two new game modes next patch. After that we bring in Historical Battles and Garage Battles.
Q: Do you notice IS-8 problems? KV-4 problems? Any problems?
A: Our position was made more than a year ago. If we notice players whine about certain tank, we check its statistics. If statistics are bad, we boost the tank. If the tank is too good, we nerf the tank. If it's just the whine, we do not do anything.
Q: Why do you change T-50-2? Will its replacement be similar?
A: Most our tanks are similar to their real prototypes. T-34 is farmtank, T-54 is great farmtank, German Panther is "I sit in the bush and wait for the Hero to come". Sometimes we make a tank that is deeply different from its real life counterpart. Current T-50-2 is like a motorcycle, while in real life it was pretty slow infantry support vehicle. Therefore we are not happy with current T-50-2. Our specialist has found many archive materials and found certain tank from 1943 that will replace T-50-2. Its gameplay style is similar to current ingame T-50-2, characteristics will be similar.
Q: What do you plan for the users who have grinded all the tanks they want, but do not want to join clans and play clan wars?
A: Our game concept was to make the game that you can enter and pwn someone. There is no need to be in the clan. So, just have fun and pwn someone. We also plan Historical Battles that are like Clan Wars without responsibility. In Clan Wars you must play regularly, in Historical Battles you can play just for one evening. I'd like to recommend taking the game as it is - the Game, do not make it your Job. If you want to pwn someone, do it. If you do not want to pwn someone, relax.
Q: Should we wait for new medium premium tanks?
A: Sure, SuperPershing will join the game next patch or the patch after it. It's Pershing with additional armor from captured Panther and more powerful cannon. It is strong vehicle and I'm sure people will like it.
Q: We know about Japanese and Italian tank trees. Tell us more about mixed European tree and Chinese tree.
A: Chinese tank tree has a problem - modern Chinese tanks are up-to-date, but afterwar Chinese tanks were copied Soviet vehicles, starting with T-34-85 (Type 58). So we can make the tree from the tier 6. Early tiers are hard to invent. Mixed European tree has a different problem – it is vehicle zoo with vehicles changing hands from nation to nation. The problem is not with the amount of tanks, but with their difficult family relationships. We have certain ideas, but we cannot provide detailed trees for now.
Q: How does Japanese tree evolve?

A: We have found fourth photo – it was bought by our external co-workers on the market. The photo was sent to Japan, it seems to be from around Port Arthur, as Japanese say. But we were unable to check it in real life.
We currently study Japanese military archives that were carried away to USA. It is possible we will find more detailed information. We have found certain signs of Japanese tank analysis in Soviet constructors work. We have unverified data that some Japanese tank, like superheavy O-I was moved to Manchuria to be used as part of defensive positions. Some of them fell to Soviet hands. Three photos were from Soviet archives. Currently we negotiate to be able to study certain engineer’s works who have studied captured vehicles. We need more detailed data; we still have some time for that. We will share the information with our players when we have more exact data. Maybe video of the model, maybe some earlier information.
In general, we have concept of Japanese tank model-wise done, but no exact data about details/angles etc. are not available. Our Japanese friends have sent us very detailed information on certain Japanese tank that was not published in any other media. It impressed out greatly how masterful were Japanese with making sensible vehicles from poor quality materials. Although I’m not absolutely sure about sensibility.
Q: We get many rumors about Chinese server – different tanks, golden Types 59. Tell us more – what happens there?
A: Chinese players play there.
First - Chinese market is very specific. China is absolutely different. We can argue about that, but our basic culture is Western. Chinese culture is entirely different. Chinese server has peculiarities that are accepted by Chinese players, but will probably be refused by Russian or, for example, American players. Therefore not everything we do on our servers is put on the Chinese one. Servers’ cultures are entirely different. Different gameplay, different tanks. I cannot tell exact specifics due to our agreement with Chinese partners.

Q: Tell us what will happen to the tank after its ammo rack explodes?
A: It will explode… We work on it. No promises, but tank’s turret will probably fly away and drop down. No details about if it will cause damage to the other tank it falls upon or if it will be possible to drive over it – it depends on servers, clients. We will publish the solution when it is done.
Q: Will you change game sounds?
A: We change game sounds every patch.
Q: Are you happy with current game balance?
A: Yes, in general. Certain issues will be fixed.
Q: How will player join the new game modes?
A: Randomly. At least speaking about two game modes added the next patch. Historical and Garage battles will be specific case of company battles deliberately chosen by player.
Q: We miss an option to change ingame nick with game gold. Why don’t you allow that?
A: We do not consider that our priority.
Q: Will we see exact tank modules damage on the tank model?
A: It is possible, over time. We have it in our plans after physics, but no exact details for now.
Q: User mods are very popular. Which game mods are allowed and which are not? Do you have any mod list or do you plan to create one?
A: Officially you are allowed only to change tank skins. All other mods are not supported. We forbid to use mods that allow gameplay advantage, for example tracer modification and, if I remember it right (RU support denies it as it does not present gameplay advantage, only FPS gain - Lia), trees removal. We ban for usage of such mods, we do not ban for other mods yet, but we can start it anytime. After issuing warning, of course.
Q: Will you change the chat? What will be added?
A: Friend groups, more detailed status, ability to work with groups etc.
Q: Will French TDs and SPGs have drums?
A: SPGs with drums – this patch. TDs with drums – not this patch, but planned.
Q: It is said that Soviet tanks do not pwn.
A: Do not play Soviet tanks.
