If every vehicle would be cost-efficient, no one will use smaller vehicles after 3 months of release. So the game will consist only of TT10, MT9, TD9 and SPG8 (soon to appear). Very boring and unfriendly to new players.
Right now average player can easily sustain Tier 5-6 vehicles without premium and Tier 7 vehicle with premium. If he is really good player, he would be able to sustain Tier 9-10 vehicles with premium without big credit losses. Therefore most players will play not only their top vehicles, but also smaller ones, so that games consist of different tier vehicles - more diversity and better balance for new players.
