not as important than other holidays. But for other people, other
countries Saint god-knows-who is much more important than your
holiday. International days are more important for many people than
local countries holiday, that's why they are international.
It's upon you to decide if you would like to stay in front of PC or spend time with your dearest and family. Life is matter of priorities.
We already have tons of problems in battle league with US players unable to play during EU time, and EU players unable to play in US time.
About ClanWars: in most MMOs you can and WILL be attacked during your timezone night so you are unable to defend. That's part of tactics (and failure) of many MMOs. Fortunately WoT should not be one of them.
