Skill's theory is true and arty performance dropped to a certain
level and stayed there until a secret buff took place, you would
expect a linear drop in the MoE rate over 2 weeks. If WGings theory
is correct and the MoE requirement dropped by more and then
recovered somewhat over 2 weeks, you would expect a non-linear
change in the MoE requirement over 2 weeks. Looking at the
tomato.gg graphs we do actually see a non-linear drop over the
first week, which you would expect if WGings theory is true.
However, over the second week you see another non-linear drop but
in reverse which is a bit strange, kind of indicating that everyone
got worse again over that week.
Keyhand: I think you are failing to account for the "get-together"
period where players get used to the new mechanics and also the
fact that arty probably saw increased popularity directly
post-patch due to receiving heavy changes as people wanted to know
how it felt to play it, affecting both the average player skill as
well as the average stunassist because more arties in a game means
more shared assist which is exactly what I was pointing at in my
initial post about the topic.
