I agree when it comes to personal details such as bank details,
emails. ISPs etc. However, here is a suggestion. When a
person CHEATS in a game why not Name and Shame them using their
nickname and put a block on them joining a clan, messaging, in game
chat etc then with any luck they will go elsewhere and we can play
a fairer game. I mean, WG exists because WE pay for the privilege.
I have lost count of the amount of money I have invested in this
game and I am sure that thousands of others have done the
same. Therefore, it was unwise to point THOUSANDS of WG users
to use what you describe as acceptable MODs. WG IT IS NOT
ACCEPTABLE AT ALL and you should take down that posting ASAP.
The MODS DO give an advantage to the user and therefore you
should not encourage their use. Anyone agree????Kandly: I disagree and I can explain why. First of all, when players
cheat, they do lose access to the game, because their accounts get
banned in waves, just like now. Just because some mods can be
cheats, that doesn't mean we have to assume they all are. Some of
you seem to believe mods are bad by default, when they're
actually not. That's like saying we should ban all airplanes
on Earth, because sometimes accidents happen - so let's just ignore
all the great things they've ever helped humanity with. This
is what you're saying, only about mods. I'm trying to
give you a different perspective here, to help you understand
that things are never only black and white, so please try to keep
an open mind and think about it from more than just one point of
view. Mods should most definitely be allowed in World of Tanks,
just like in hundreds of other games out there. As you probably
know by now, several mods that our players created in the past
actually got implemented into the game. This doesn't only stand
true for World of Tanks, but for almost all online games that allow
modifications. This is proof that mods can be useful and help the
game grow. Mod creators should not be punished for the actions of
other mod creators. We would like to support those who dedicate
their precious time to making World of Tanks a better game,
which is why we launched a safe space where these people can upload
their creations. You, our players, deserve to have access to the
great things they come up with, without worrying that you might be
doing something forbidden. Naming and shaming won't fly here,
sorry. Knowing who was banned is totally not the point of ban
waves. The point is to have cheaters out of the game. Declining
them access to our game is the appropriate punishment. Naming and
shaming is primitive and useless.
