pretty much every variation of settings. When the test server
opened I started with the same settings that I use on live.
Everything maxed except no motion blur at all, post processing
set to medium and FoV at max (I use an ultra wide 21:9 monitor
on which the max FoV looks good, no idea how it looks on 16:9).
After I noticed I got a headache after 2-3 games (it gets
progressively worse the longer I play btw) I started to play with
the settings. Different FoV's, different post processing settings,
different AA settings, turn off the new options such as
tessellation, turn on and off vysnc, triple buffering, draw
distance, etc etc, all the way down to the 'standard' graphics
settings meant for low end PC's. It's the same thing every time I
play no matter what settings I use. I tried playing at
different times with the different settings so I started fresh
without any headaches (hard to test different settings when you
already have motion sickness/headaches since it takes quite a while
to subside). Just now I played a few games to make sure it is still
there and unfortunately it is. It must be something that
this new rendering engine does slightly different that causes it. I
don't see anything by looking at the game that might explain why
this new Core engine gives me headaches but it does. Maybe they
changed something with how the camera moves, or it is something
inherent to this new Core engine. I've played thousands of
games of WoT the past few months, with very long gaming
sessions at times especially around the holidays and never did I
get any hint of motion sickness/headaches. I would love to
just keep using the old BigWorld rendering engine with the
less attractive graphics but it seems very unlikely that is going
to be possible. P.S. I've just typed this with said
headache, takes a long time to go away, which is why I can't play
the game like this :/Kandly: Hey again Qualor! I'm very sorry to hear about this. I
forwarded what you said and I'll let you know
when there's an update.
