Chat Issues - 24/01

Don't take it personal, but the amount of interaction between you guys and the community is .... marginal. At best. I don't know how your employed, but in general part of your job as "community coordinator" should be to be visible to the community.

I mean, it doesn't include 80 posts per day in the forum each 1 A4 page long, but if there are topics that are REAL problems for the community the visibility should be higher. Even more for topics where a fix was promised a long time ago and the first "sorry it didn't work" 1 female crew member gift took ages to get to the community and since then it's still not fixed (and more promises were made with no nothing whatever).   And no, a single "we're working on it and right now collecting data" post asking the community to post AGAIN what's not working (which they actually are - if you look at the posts before yours all the way going back to the staff-member-post before) while nothing else happens. Why not even every two days a "I know you guys are upset, but we're still on it" post? Because it won't be fixed before 1.0? Most likely. Because WG doesn't care to give out more free gifts for something that (most likely) will be fixed in a mayor update down the road? Also very likely. Because you don't know how to use communication techniques to mediate between your employers and the community? Also likely.

Because you're afraid of a shitstorm if you openly post that wg won't fix it until 1.0 and there are no more "gifts" planned even though they were promised? The most likely reason.

But guess what - it's part of your job. And of everyone else in the WG EU community team. That's what you get payed for. That's, what actually THIS community pays for (as looking at the numbers the EU community contributes the biggest part of the WG economy and thus indirectly also paying you --- not me or anyone as single person, but in general and thus the communication between the staff payed for communication / community management and the paying customer should be way better. Sorry to say this, but the overall handling of community matters is subpar the best).

Kandly:   I think we are quite visible to the community and this can be seen in how we follow and respond to plenty of topics on a daily basis. If you look at WG staff posts, you will see that dozens of replies are being posted in heated areas of the forum, as well as the announcements section on an hourly basis. What I told you is that I have carefully gathered your feedback and that I forwarded it in detail. I can assure you that this is still a topic we are discussing, but as of now I cannot make any announcement, because nothing is set in stone yet. Like I tried to show in the past few weeks, I am not trying to make anyone forget about this issue and what I want is to get it fixed - but I get why you're attacking me and my colleagues instead of understanding that we are obviously not in charge of deploying a fix, because I've been facing such behavior since we first started talking about the chat issues. We will have news, but please be patient, because more data is needed before promises can be made.
