Chat Issues - 24/01

have a proposition for WG: https://4ng3l4rr0w.livejournal.com/58976.html Hi
tankers, as you probably already know we're having some chat and
contact list problems. Those problems are already there for a very
long time but starting from Update 9.20 the problems got out of
hand. Since then a thread was started by MrConway,
Community Coordinator of Wargaming, on the official WoT
Forum. After a few months that thread is grown to a 52 pages
thick report about the problems at hand. A lot of angry players are
complaining about the chat and contact list issues and Wargaming is
constantly promising to resolve the issues.
We all now
what happened with those promises. Nothing happened. Until today
the problems are still there. Even after the given compensations (1
female crew member + order and the T4NKYOU code) that was given to
us after things were resolved (cough-cough). We all know nothing
got resolved 'till today. After a
while Ph3lan and MrConway didn't react anymore
in that thread. Probably because they didn't know anymore what to
answer to the players — who are getting more and more upset by
this. They gave the job to Kandly, another WG employee who can
get a lot of followers because of her live streams and contact with
the community. Nevertheless she also got a lot of crap thrown at
her and therefore she throws the towel in the ring.
A new thread was started by tagl1a, a Turkish Community Manager. This is
already the 4th WG employee who will try to keep the upset
community happy with promisses and probably some stupid,
meaningless compensations in the future.
The
question that rises now is: "Why did WG close a 52 pages long
thread in which everything is already said about the problems with
the chat and contact list??? Kandly says they did it
because no one could follow anymore. We couldn't see the trees
through the forest anymore! [edited]! Wargaming couldn't handle the
negativity anymore so they closed the topic. Nobody can react there
anymore. Does Wargaming really think that people will forget about the problem because that old thread is closed down and got unpinned??? Do they really think that the further that topic will drop down, people will forget about it and eventually shut up??? Oh yeah ... almost forgot ... that new thread — started by the 4th WG employee (tagl1a) now — tells us we get a chat server restart today!
Wargaming
developers really think this will solve the problems. You have to
know that we already got several chat server restarts but those
were unannounced. I know that from the inside. So why starting a
new thread for telling us about the restart when they already know
it will not solve the issues we're experiencing now for more than 6
months already??? To be frankly honest I don't think the WG devs
will ever solve this issue. They are not competent enough to figure
out what the hell is going on with the chat server and contact
list. On top of that there's lack of communication between the
developers (or issue solvers) and the community
coordinators/managers. The later don't know what the devs are doing
or working on but they have to inform us about what's going on???
If they don't know anything, if they aren't kept in the loop, then
we can't get up-to-date info about the things that are going on!
Nevertheless the community coordinators don't have to tell us lies
or ask us stupid things like "give us all the details, we will
forward this to the devs". Are the devs still not aware of the
problems at hand??? WTF!!! So ... now you have the link to that new thread. The only thing I
would suggest is: keep on posting your problems in that new thread.
Keep poking those WG employees. Because if we stop doing that, the
problem will never get fixed. Why? Because I have the feeling that
they are trying to let us forget about it. Closing down and
unpinning a 52 pages topic about the issues is a good example of
that. Don't let the WG employees get away with this. They have to
take there responsibilities and fix these damn issues. If they
aren't capable doing that, then maybe they have to find other
people who can. Another thing they can do — yes, I have a
proposition — is giving us a fixed compensation every week on the
same day for as long as the problems keep occurring. F.e. some
Personal Reserves and/or some Premium Consumables. Kandly: We all now what happened with those promises. Nothing happened.

Angel_Arrow. Sorry you feel like you've been silenced because I
locked an old topic regarding the old compensation for the personal
missions & chat issues, but my priority right now is to get
this thing fixed. In order to do so, we must have up-to-date
information on the issue. As for your main concern: The
information present in that topic was already shared with the devs,
so I already forwarded all that feedback. I didn't silence 53
pages of feedback and you know this. I would like players who come
on the forum to discuss their chat issues to actually see the
topic, in order for us not to spam Gameplay with multiple chat
issues topics (like it happened a few days ago). Therefore, it's
more obvious to keep this one. In addition to this, all the info
we'll be sharing about these issues will simply be more obvious
here as well, due to having less pages. That topic was outdated and
I honestly have no clue why you're angry about it. I linked this
current topic in my last post there, so we obviously want your
feedback. Your argument "WG cannot handle the negativity so they
closed the topic" is confusing and doesn't stand. Is the Chat
Issues topic there? Yes. Is it pinned? Yes. It's literally the
first thing that shows up in the Announcements section, so how
exactly are we trying to make you forget about an issue we're
actively working on - by replacing the topic, making it
more visible to everyone affected and pinning it? I don't get it.
The devs are obviously aware and have been aware of these issues
since we've started experiencing them. What I mean by "forwarding
this info to the devs" is really "forwarding this info to
the devs, specifically", not "forwarding the entire issue to the
devs because we've been hiding your feedback for months". I am
honestly shocked and insulted to see that's how you think we
approach things. The devs are asking for updated info, so
we ask for updated info. I'm not asking for this in order to
give you something to do, but because it is needed. It's against
the forum rules to insult Wargaming staff, so moderation actions
are likely in your case. I don't have any info on compensation
for now. @everyone: What Angel_Arrow said above, about
you guys poking us - that is exactly what we want, so yes,
please keep doing that. I see armandio mentioned that the clan chat
was working on EU2, but not on EU1. This seems to have been after
the restart. Is the chat behaving differently now? How is it at the
moment? From the data I gathered, it seems things are working fine
now and I'd like your confirmation on this.
