Logging like a Boss

IPaul72: Hello there  Logs had many uses on the tanks some was for small ground neutralization, some where used as chocks and other uses included rear guards protection among other things.  There were many other uses too ... for example the Finnish army used logs to jam tracks (early light soviet armor I believe) and disable smaller light tanks. This was done by placing the log near the drive sprocket and letting the sprocket tension the track so much it immobilised the light tank and therefore rendering the vehicle pretty much useless. However, as tanks got heavier and bigger this wasn't a tactic they could rely on. However, this topic belongs in the historical discussions area so I will move it there.  Kind Regards IPaul72
