The point in starting this thread is that people need to start reporting this and creating threads about it, as sadly the bottom of the barrell of humanity appears to be joining now. I also think if clans can't control players/members behavious then they should be disbanded for repeated offences.

However, you did the right thing reporting it.
In severe cases the authorities are actually notified and become involved, this is something isn't taken likely by WG or them. So a knock on the door of the person who violated the rules to such a severe extent maybe most unwelcomed.
Has I have mentioned in previous topics about the same thing and I say it to all here, if you ever get serious threats like the one noted above by Fighto. We would encourage you to report them rather than let them slide.
Players that violated rules like this are not welcomed and should never be, it is nothing but wrong and if encouraged can lead down a very bad path to which there is no return.
WG try their best to make it a better place for everyone to be in and a good game to play, with the help of the players we can make this a reality.

Advice for and from all the community is always welcomed in my opinion, if we can increase the new players knowledge this is always a good thing right?
It will lead to better games with more people learning and this in turn will always increase the fun factor within the game and make for a better evironment.
I also agree that platooning with friends is also a very good way of learning team work which will carry over, like you said into randoms.
