A little insight on bot's & afk's and what to do!

1 )If a player does no shooting or no movement, he gets flagged as a bot/afk for that battle. Just by going through player stats in battles database you could recognize players who do this to often and maybe set some limit to what percentage of akf games would be allowed. The first step of this method, by giving the player a warning could be completely automated. If the behaviour continues, further steps could be taken. The statistic could even be calculated after every game, and stored in the players own datarecord. The server load would be minimal. And the percentage part would remove the need to go through cases where afk sometimes happens because of crash etc.

2) Solution 2 is to give 0 credits and EXP for that battle, if the player meets the conditions in option 1. Active botting would soon eat you your credits and you would face playing tier 1.

This of course won't deal with the more sophisticated bots, but to my opinion complete afk'ing is a more serious problem.

I would like to hear IPaul's view why this kind of actions could not be taken, perhaps in addition to the reporting system described earlier. Or has WG already reviewed the data and determined these actions as inefficient.

I'm guessing you will have a "watchlist" for the accounts reported and you'll put the sanctions in effect only after a conclusive watch? I say this because there are too many idiots (sorry, it's the only word that fits) out there, who will report you for shooting them as hackers, bots, etc. Just today I was "reported" because I used three rounds of APCR (ran out of regular, lol) and apparently makes me a cheater. Also, repeatedly hitting a Tiger's cupola makes you a(n iam)bot, because it is not possible to snipe the cupola. I think you get my point.
