Seriously, a post on a forum that only a fraction of your playerbase reads (nothing on portal, or via e-mail), informing us that the identification of bots/afk's in game is our responsibility. What's more, now the only way to report/flag them to employees in your office is using a tool which WG acknowledge is severely limited. Brilliant.
.
No mention is made of any steps that WG EU office take to actively indentify and sanction accounts associated with botting, (I suspect none)
.
No mention is made of any intention of WG EU to provide feedback to the playerbase that their efforts are being acted upon.
.
No mention is made of the changes to the support system, whereby they no longer manually processes replays of in-game rule violators, including botters.
.
You have a database that reports large amounts of information to players (after battle reports), it appears that this information could be reported, filtered and scrutisined by your 'Game Specialists' to identify people breaking the EULA by botting. Doing this would be treating the matter 'very seriously', passing responsibility to your playerbase, is not.
.
Finally, whoever wrote that support document needs demoted, it's not fit for internal reference never mind being made for public consumption.
.
Again, please dont take any offence iPaul, but please do pass the these comments on to the relevant people responsible (as they never communicate with the playerbase directly)

IPaul72: Hello Vladivar
First may I say thanks for your post. No offence was taken
I may not be able to change your opinion but I respect that you have one. So in the same breath I wouldn't force my opinion on anyone either after all sometimes seeing is believe right?
However, on the latter until more is known I can't change that sorry.
Ok so to answer your points you made

IPaul72: When making this topic and coming across this document and after searching I had a decision to make.. Either let the community know or not! Well you can see my decision, it was the right thing to do as no one likes to be kept in the dark  :glasses: So as regards an attempt, well I beg to differ on this one as it could have easily been assigned to the junkyard.
About WG being proactive sorry but I beg to differ on this one also as I have spoke with the people involved. Now bare in mind this is dealt with in a different department so we has the community team don't get to see how this done but it is happening. However, you only have my word for this for now, so I don't expect you to believe me. As trust is something that is earned and not given right
Ok so moving on ..

IPaul72: So the first point, we only deal with the sections in which we are in control of. Has to whether this will become major news (portal) is not our call, but the suggestion as been put forward.
Second point, as I said before if your actively looking for someone, sometimes its best not to tell them where and how you are looking! If you do they can counter react and change if you know what I mean.
Third point feedback, this is something that as also been put forward as a statistical analysis for players to see.
The fourth point I do believe there was something mentioned about this, an announcement made earlier in the month.

IPaul72: I am aware that the first point grabs the notion of not actively seeking. Well actively seeking is something that happens to what I am led to understand. But this boils down to my word again!
However, as noted before the department that deals with this one is a separate one, we do have contact but they deal with in game issues and not forum related ones.
So to pass this news onto the forum users i.e. the topic! I believe one, is very informative and two, you the forums community have the right to see how WG deals with such matters and also to make you aware.
Admittedly this will only reach a percentage of the player database, but some is better than none right? So again, to pass this onto the player database is a good thing as I see it. After all 2 eyes are better than one as the saying goes! Also this is a way to actively make the players including myself and our team, more active and involved in the evolution of the game. So I don't see this as a bad thing as I said before no one likes to be in the dark
Author of the document: Well I didn't write this one, I just shared it with you all as for the reasons listed above :great:
Ok last one don't worry I didn't take offence (there are no man hug emoticons on here! .... note to self ask for more emoticons!)
But I will certainly pass you comments forward  as the saying goes "a change is as good as a rest!"
Kind Regards
IPaul72
