View PostJackDinn, on 25 April 2013 - 03:07 AM, said: So i today posted my first post on here because i was so unhappy about the change in the tech tree when i had spent several days griding to get on a specific branch (the German med's) and then today (well yesterday now) when i finally got the xp after spending a lot of money transferring xp i find that the tank branch i was supposed to be on was no longer there !
(please dont comment about the fact it was well known and i should have known , there was a long thread (until they deleted it)).
Now i got a email saying i have been warned because of :-
Making non-constructive posts, or creating threads on non-constructive topics
I dont understand , i can bet 50% of the posts on here are not actually constructive (just people talking in general) are they warned ?
I dont even know how to make sure a post is constructive ?
Plus i was angry , so where was i supposed to post my grievance ?
I didn't use profanity or offensive language , im really confused on this one.
All this political correctness will be making Orwell role in his grave.

IPaul72: Hello there JackDinn
It is true what a majority of players have posted within this topic and that is that you maybe issued a warning for non compliance of the rules.
However, there are many way in which the rules are breached but without knowing what the rules are first it is easily achieved.
I would say creating a post like this can quite easily land you with a warning for breaching this rule :

2.8 Discussing disciplinary actions
This category includes:
1. Creating posts or threads to discuss disciplinary actions taken against a player in game or on the forums
2. Creating posts or threads to discuss moderators or moderator decisions and actions
If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she will:
• Be given a temporary ban from the World of Tanks forums, depending upon severity
If in future you have any queries either contact support (depending what the problem is) refer to Hunter1911's post here :
http://forum.worldof...37#entry4610137
However if you have any future queries about the rules you can find the forum rules set here.
There is also a copy of the games rule set here. They both can be found at the very of of the newcomers forum section.

Thanks for taking the time out to answer, however, I did put in my opening line wrong place, wrong time. Most of the time you mods do a cracking job, sometimes though it does seems as if a nut is being cracked with a sledgehammer.

IPaul72: Hello there MadInAShed
Sorry just had to comment here  :amazed:
I do agree the moderators do a cracking job its a shame they can't be everywhere at once, but as the game grows so does the forums. As you may know moderators are in both constantly and they do an excellent job.
However, it does sometimes seem like you put it (a nut is being cracked with a sledgehammer) this is because some players are well known by the contents of their posts. Sometimes sanctions can be a little severe but they are all done by the rule set. Most of the time, the moderators are sometimes lenient in placing sanctions as the rule set the moderators has is very specific in certain topics.
I was a moderator myself before community coordinator, I always thought being a good moderator was knowing when to be kind and knowing when to be strict, it is a fine line which does take some walking.
This is why I think at the moment, the moderators we have are a good bunch and do very good job.
Kind Regards all
IPaul72
