Tier III vs Tier V

And I can just do nothing about them. Oké, sometimes I can take a potshot of ~50 damage, but that's about it. Sometimes I survive three shots, but often it's one shot = destroyed. "We didn't even penetrate their armour" I hear a lot in these matches.
So, just what can I do in situations like that?
Before someone replies with "Learn to play!", this tank has a victory rate of 60%, so I can't be all that bad, can I? On average, I kill 1,08 tanks each match.
