I got shot multiple times from hill which was over 300m away and enemy wasn't even spotted by anyone! Feel free to check out my replay and see how I got nailed...
And statement that one is spotting another is a total rubbish! Such events are expected and that is the price of having 13 more people in each round. You think he is spotting you? Well you're spotting him as well!
Machiavellism at fullest I see - "the ends justifying the means". In this case gold justifies the means.
So how about I shoot on sight instead, to ensure a nice cover from your hull and avoid detection? You think you got what it takes to engage my T1 1on1?
I don't want this to look like boasting, but frankly I think my T1 and it's crew outmatches 99% of other tier 1s out there. So if I have an uper hand it's OK for me to shoot you?
You may wonder why I am raging in last 3 posts. Well the same reason because people were all over gold and NOT READING in last contest too, so instead of 15 players survived nicely racing, ONLY TWO SURVIVED!! WHY?! And 4 tanks got ahead before arty shoot... I mean seriously what part of this you don't understand:

If everyone survives, everyone gets the reward, so only real obstacles were arty randomly shooting and IPaul ramming in M10. Really cool!
But why wouldn't you want for someone else to get the reward as well? Again, put yourself in his shoes - how about you wait for that invitation eagerly, finally get it, and some stupid bastard shoots you for no apparent reason thus excluding you from receiving almost certain reward.

They need to make rules more clear you say?
Just look at last few High Five contests... KVs, SUs, Tigers, 6, 7, 8 kills what not.... Even in this last High Five contest (SU-100) there is a screenshot with 4 kills.
And it is explained so easily and clearly with a lot of effort invested into it (explanation of contest into details).

I know for some the language is problem, but it must not be taken as excuse. If you get pulled over for driving 60 km/h in 30 km/h zone in real life by a police officer, a simple "..but I didn't know.." just won't stand! You either understand and accept the rules or you don't get involved at all! By taking part in ANYTHING, you accept the rules that go with it without exceptions!
If you don't know the rules and get caught while breaking them, there should be penalties as a lesson so next time you will learn whatever you have to (in this case TO READ and pay attention to NOT-SO-SMALL-DETAILS)!

IPaul72: Hello john_doe7
Thank you for your post here and feedback, I will try and address as much as I can within this post.
The first point you made about spotting, I'm really sorry this happened in the contest with you getting taken out. But in the contests we expect the community should work together as they usually do, But there are always some who bend and break the rules who ruin the experience for everyone else. This could be through a lack of communication or simply not reading the rules, however which ever it maybe this is one thing we are trying to combat at the moment. Hence the competition posts placed on the forums with gaps between the paragraphs and different colors used within them for ease of reading. Most importantly we try highly all the rules in red so they stand out.
However In the future competitions the community members who ruin the competitions will be not only ruled out from the competition that they ruin but all future competitions too. Hence hopefully making the competitions run more smoothly.
Whenever I launch a competition I am always slightly nervous for many reasons.
1. Is how much fun will the community have  (this is our main focus)
2. Will the community work as a team and help each other.
3. Hoping no one will ruin the experience.
4. How many will take part
5. Hopefully the feedback will be good with replays, so that as a community we can build on them and make the best and most fun competitions for our region.

The main aim we have is to get the communities to work together and have fun while doing so. Therefore if these members were to meet in battle maybe on the same team it could bring more to the game play than just actual play you know, so in essence we want to try get you all to work together more often  :Smile-hiding:

Regards

Look, the only contest I participated in so far was the mini mangled metal one. Actually you were supposed to shoot your enemies there. And I didn't expect it to be that much different in this one, except for careful hiding and two Types cruising around the map.

And yes, they need to make rules and discriptions more clear. Take the mini mangled metal cup for example.
"When the battle start is announced a Charge order will be given."
"What will happen is we will meet in the center of the map for and outstanding do or die battle like the knights of old !"
Well, what'd you expect when reading this? Certainly not the never-ending campfest that it really was, right? After all, if rules doesn't say all about these matches you have to figure out what it's all about for yourself. And that's what I tried to do here, too.
"2. You are free to roam and fire but no team killing"
Well, one our T1's was the first one to open fire on the enemy. So I fired, too. And moreover I strongly expected to be fired at by other tanks than the Types. Looks like I was one of about 10 players on this match (from both teams) that spoiled it for you and I'm very sorry for that. But you can't simply say I don't understand rules.
IPaul72 already announced to modify rules next time, so I guess we can both be happy about that.

Also, for me this is not about 200 gold for me or anyone (didn't get it anyway, because - guess what - I was spotted by a T1 and shot by Type  :Smile_veryhappy:  ), it's about a having a nice little contest (and no, I don't mind you shooting me). Still I hope everyone will be having fun next time. Also it's about taking my beloved Loltraktor out for a ride. Always nice to roll out in tier1 tanks after a day full of arty parties and paying expensive repair bills. But looking at the number of battles in your T1, you know about that.  :Smile_Default:

IPaul72: Hello there Enerdshirak
In reply to the rules being made more clear as mentioned in the reply to john_doe this is something we constantly care about and honestly try and get right. However, the rules for that particular contest have been modified and will be modified again before it see's another appearance. If we do the competition again we want it to run as smooth as possible so extra planning is needed  :Smile_great:

However we wan't very happy about the way it worked out last time (for the same reasons mentioned) that's why it as made an appearance since. But I dare say once it has been revamped and worked on it will make another appearance in the future. (proving on popularity of course) We are also working constantly on other competitions and projects for you as a community, so if it doesn't make another experience don't worry something else will take its place after it as been tested.

But it would be nice to know if it's a FFA or simply hide and seek (or maybe really sneak?).

To make one thing clear: I simply love when I am chased by a Type, hahaha, it really takes the best out of one to avoid them and prefferably outrun them. For me, being chased is the most fun part, and hiding is just making me nervous - "where he will pop-out, will he see me here, ..". That is why I love these contests!

I am always for a challange of any kind (even a plain 1 on 1 in training rooms), but I simply hate unpleasant unexpected surprises like the ones that players tend to do every now and then. I knew that "enemy" T1 was spotting me simply because he was near me (and imagine, he didn't shoot, but his guys on hill did!), but I never came to idea to kill him, not even to protect myself. In the end when I was reduced to only 9 HP I lost it and start shooting like a maniac out of despair, because I thought it's over and didn't know what else should I do really.

I guess it's time for a change of view and tactic when two teams are involved. :Smile_great:
Next time it will be better, I am most sure of it, and it will be more fun than ever, I just know it will!

IPaul72: Hello again
to quote you :

IPaul72: I know I have chased you on a few occasions and I have been close to tears with laughter myself .... may I say you have had excellent driving skills in the past  :Smile_great:
Maybe one thing that could be brought to the table by this is (practice with friends for the event) As it is not easy trying to dodge a type at full tilt, but it can be done as we did the practice and I was the one in the T1  lol
In reflection :
I honestly do hope you all who read this will be making an appearance in the upcoming events.
Our promise to you is we will try and make them as fun as possible for you and try make them run as smooth as possible hence working to make the rules much more clear and precise.
Kind Regards All
