Hunter1911:   Actually ramming was used as a tactic during World War II. Namely by the Soviets and Japanese. Not many cases were recorded, and I would not call it preferred option, but such instances did occur.   For example, Japanese tank units had instructions to ram and topple the US M3 Stuarts into rice paddies - if possible.  Soviets did not have official instructions to do so, but still did it. There were instances where KV-1s had rammed Panzer IVs and similar.
