New player, a few questions

Since about 2 weeks on WOT and just finished my 300th battle.
I started with the US Medium Tank line and played the T1, T2, M2 and M3 tanks to Elite Status. So far I like the T2 best followed by the "strange" M3 Lee (Hated it in the beginning, now somehow love it).
I have on all tanks 100% crews and equipped some of them with additional equipment and consumables (For the permament stat). Also got myself a gold account.

So far I enjoyed the game a lot and want to progress. So I have a few questions:

Should I already progress to Tier 5 (Medium or Heavy) or should I stick with my Tier 1 - Tier 4 tanks and try to get better in tactics and game play?

For earning credits, is it a good idea to have a Tier 5 Premium tank (Or even higher without the experience of these Tier Levels)? Will it make me more then on the M3 Lee (Where I am also not really good at, but having a lot of fun)?

Looking at my stats, I am not to happy with my Damage dealing, Battle survival and especially my accuracy. Any idea how to train them better?

Why is my Noobmeter not updating? It somehow gotten some stats after the first day or so, but since then no more updates (I am still on 23 battles).
