WoT heading full speed in the same wall as WoW

Since you seem to be gathering feedback, I will just add some of my own if you don't mind, and maybe you can bring some insight as to why some things are the way they are? 1) Overall, the new maps are great (the ones we test in recon). Sadly they all have camper bushes in the base. Why does WG feel the maps need these ledges? 2) Great changes with arty, but 3 is still too much IMO. Id rather have more relaxed rules on other parts like equal HT/MT if you must know which one to remove

HeatResistantBFG: I'm not part of the map design team so can't give you an
official answer here really. If I was to guess the maps are
designed to have choke points and defence positions that make you
have to "go around" or such things, that way a player using skill
can take a key position to play against a larger number in both
directions (skilful use of a defensive position for defender,
skilful use of a route to flank the enemy for the attacker). If the
number of arty in the queue is too large then it will simply be
impossible to introduce a cap without seriously affecting the MM
for all in ways players wouldn't want, we are always looking for
ways to improve and so if this changes or we find ways to overcome
this, and it will result in a better experience for players we
would of course want to implement it. Agreed
Agreed again, i hadn't played WoT
since pre 1.0 and had been on console and so coming to equipment
2.0 it was a nice change to me, and i love that ability to
customise/highlight aspects of tanks more... who doesn't love 70kph
+ KPZ
(apart from light
tanks
) Similar to #2, MM is something we
know is important to our players, and although i think it's in the
best place it has been yet it can still be better. It is something
we highlight as something players are wanting improvement on
It is something that has been
flagged by a few people, there is every chance it's luck (good or
bad, depending on how much you like the map I guess lol) but we're
looking into it either way
As in #1, I'm not on the map
design team nor am I an expert. So I would say I quite like
mines and can't think of finding one side more winnable than the
other, certainly not compared to the actions of my team (More
likely to say "ah, my team didn't get X so this is going to be hard
to win" than "ah, I spawned north so basically already
won"
. If the map stats show it to be
one-sided or have any issues I'm sure it'll be on the map teams
radar though
Seems you are in a similar
boat to me
I couldn't play pc because I
didn't have a pc good enough, played console WoT instead, then got
a PC that could run it and started WoT on NA and EU (to play with
friends on NA and EU because I lived in the UK) as well as alpha of
Warships. Eventually being a student and trying to pay prem time
across all platforms and having been so much further into WoTc
meant I stopped with WoT (although still followed/watched it,
obviously) and had recently started again before getting the chance
to work here and here I am! And I'm of a similar mind to you, all
the recent changes have been good and made the game better.
