and lets be frank , teams with regular players or even worse , have
just absolutely zero chance for top 8 , any suggestions why regular
players would put time and effort in this ? I need convince players
to just join the team and play for fun , while they could play any
other mode in wot and have better chance for some kind of reward
for the efforts ? Is it fun to play this tourney while
knowing your team is just absolute cannon fodder , good players get
more rewards then bad players , and the best get the most -- this
is normal , but need think what type of player u want
competing in your competitive modes , then need to think how this
also could be rewarding for mediocre players , mediocre and bad
players thats a pretty large part of the player base . Mediocre and
bad players put time and effort in also , but play for
nothing or only tiny rewards ? Players that may put more time in
then the good players in a mode like ranked , but can never get
beyond the lowest division , they play for some less awards then
better players yes . How much will bad clans get out of
playing on global map compaired to good clans . Then the rewards
like bonds or reward tanks , that keep increase the gap between
good and bad players , so there is not even a level playing field ,
bad clans will have to win with worse tanks , have worse crews ,
have less or no special equipment , cant affort to shoot all gold .
There will be a number of teams that will have a chance to reach
top 2 , but i would have no problem if WG just hand out 1500 euro
to Fame and Invil without even playing this tourney . Just give
them the money and add some gold and bonds also . Then cancel the
tourney , and use time to come up with a better structure . Think
about balance all the OP reward tanks that cause problems all the
time in all your competitive game modes . Its a bad situation when
OP reward tanks are allowed in any competitive mode they way they
are OP now . Its also a bad situation when players get some reward
tank for efforts , but then are not allowed to use in several modes
, as WG came to conclusion the tanks are too much OP . Why we
have so many events all the time and almsot nothing stands out
anymore . Got tank wars going on and "highway rock " event just
runs at the same time , while there is ranked going on also . Why
not come up with something good instead of all these mediocre
events that even overlap a lot of the time also with global map .
Where are the fun and special events , that really have some impact
on the WOT playing community . Instead we get crappy designed
events like highway rock , that have just hardly any impact . Tank
wars another example of just mediocre event that should be way
better . Then also all these extra missions etc . Here we have a
special tourney that could be something when done right , but now
will only have some small extra impact compaired to the
underwhelming tournaments we already have . over 90% of player base
will not care or not even notice its happening . Ill stop as to
leave some space for comment from others , not sure if really
needed ]

champions

1) most of the events are designed to keep an
average player in front of the PC for a couple of hours every day i
heard horror stories from even above-average (52-53% winrate)
players wasting 6+ hours every day for 14 days during global map
and not being able to get a reward tank admirable dedication... but
i find the concept ridiculous unhealthy, toxic and potentially very
frustrating for most... except the true champions 2) and as
if the advantage in skill, organization and experience wasnt
enough, champions have very likely the advantage of better tanks,
equipment, crew, consumables, ammo now back to tournaments -
a little less time demanding and at least you dont need 15 humans
to align (heck, cant even get 4 guys to agree on a time for beer
lately) but realistically, if some elements of randomness or
"little leagues" will not be introduced, then i see no logical
reason for anyone without a champion status to join this
should be a fun game... not daily chores we perform under the fear
of missing out on something

and essentially do nothing? That's the point of the
tournament to motivate all players to play better and achieve
better results and therefore rewards.
HeatResistantBFG: Kinda this, the idea is indeed to reward excellence and a
high level of play, as well as motivate people to reach these
levels. Of course, it is nice to have things for everyone, but this
isn't one of those times really.

interested in this kind of events (near zero..)
HeatResistantBFG: Not really, the number of people who watch these sorts of
things on twitch and youtube tends to disagree. But there isn't
much to discuss with these things as it either appeals to your or
doesn't (in terms of taking part), but watching it and seeing the
high levels of skill tends to appeal to a lot of people.
