No hope of ever being good?

Дата: 11.02.2015 15:00:28
Grimbru: Hello there, Mr Lol_N00b   As someone in pretty much the same boat as you I understand the frustration.    I started playing when I joined Wargaming EU in August last year. Despite what people might think life here isn't all coffee shops an big pay slips - I don't even have my own PC or internet connection at home - I've notched up all of the battles on my account here at work. Hence only just over 3k battles in 6 months.   What I can say is that I'm doing better than average. Turning from a Tomato into a Lemon. Just like you, even given the Tomato stage I have always hung at around 52% win rate. I think even at this stage when players don't have the skills to carry or even do the amount of damage you might want them to, they can have a positive impact on battles simply by making good decisions at roughly the right time. Even if they don't quite yet have the skills to make the plan work completely most of the time, they will often distract or force an opening or end up spotting important targets. Hence I don't really think it's down to luck, because for both you and I it has stayed consistent.   I started using mods at about 2k battles and caring about performance (WN8) has massively improved how I perform. I'm still just a Lemon i think, but i'm turning into a Lime(?) slowly but surely. I find re-watching some of the videos people like QB or Sir_Havoc have made as you improve really useful. Thing stand out more and decision making becomes clearer.    Don't beat yourself up about it, as the other guys here say, we're still getting better. It's not going to happen overnight. Just keep plugging away, keep caring about your performance and take the advice of the more experienced guys around here. :)
