Same is with IS-3A, it has bad gun handling like most of the
soviet heavies but who says you should snipe with it ? It has very
good gun handling for a brawler. All the soviet tanks got that kind

Now, you are right that it should brawl and it`s meant to brawl and I think it`s good to let people know that this is the way they should be played.
As for performance - I don`t know. Personally, I do not feel that much respect when facing Soviet HTs. They have strong armor and decent parameters overall, but when you aim at their lower front plates the magic is gone, sometimes along with the ammo rack.
