history, i think it's still in use with some countries .... many
nations just don't need a super powerfull MBT, especially in
today's age where the definition and expectations of the MBT are
changing.Falathi: From what I`ve seen they are still in service of few
countries, but I`m wondering how many of them are actually
operation given the fact spare parts might be difficult to get. As
for the MBT part - it`s also the matter of budget as well as
expectations. Many countries can`t readily afford a powerful fleet
of MBTs and their potential opponents can`t either, so some older
vehicles are still used instead.
BTW This reminds me that when I was checking dew years back there was still at least one country that had T-34/85 listed as in active service, although I have no idea if any of them were actually operational.
